Yellow Line service has resumed this afternoon after a "minor derailment" in Rogers Park, according to the CTA.
The train was approaching the Howard station at 2:10 p.m. when the derailment occurred, said CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski. No injuries were reported. The station is located at 7519 N Paulina St.
“Customers on board were able to alight,’’ Hosinski said, and no injuries were reported.
Hosinski said a bus shuttle has been set up to serve all three stations on the Yellow Line, and customers may also use the No. 97 Skokie bus as an alternate, said Hosinski.
“Crews are working quickly to restore service,’’ Hosinski said.
Yellow Line trains consist of two cars, she said, but it was not known how it derailed or why. Photos of the train showed snow packed around the tracks.
By 5:30 p.m., normal operations had resumed.
