Emergency crews ventilated a cruise boat with a burned out motor tonight at Navy Pier.

About 6:15 p.m. the Chicago Fire Department responded to the lake off Navy Pier for a Shoreline Cruise boat that had a burnt-out motor, according to the fire department.

There is no fire, but crews are ventilating, according to the fire department.

Fire department spokesman Sean Flynn said the situation is under control as of 7 p.m.

Flynn said he was checking on a report that a firefighter was injured but said no civilians were hurt.

A Marine Unit officer said the boat was docked at the time.
