The weather has felt more springlike recently with the temperatures rising, and the expected arrival of rain early this week will make it feel even more that way.
After Saturday's brief foray into the 70s, temperatures will cool off a little today before rebounding into the 60s on Monday, according to the forecast on ChicagoWeatherCenter.com. That warm air mass will combine with increased moisture in the air to deliver thunderstorms Monday morning. The National Weather Service says that depending on where you are, the rainfall totals could be as much as an inch.
For those of you hoping for nice weather for Monday afternoon's Cubs' home opener at Wrigley Field, the rain should be gone and there's a chance for some sunshine with temperatures in the 60s or maybe the 70s.
More rain is in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the heaviest totals expected on Wednesday. But temperatures drop as the week goes on, with possible highs in the upper 40s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
