Multiple shooting

One man was killed and another man was wounded in a shooting at an Englewood gas station on the South Side this afternoon, authorities said.

The shooting took place in the 800 block of West 59th Street about 2:30 p.m., said Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

A 22-year-old man, shot in the left knee, was dead on the scene, he said. A second man, 21, was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm.

No further information was immediately available from News Affairs.

A Citgo gas station is at the address where the shooting took place.
