A 24-year-old man was killed and another man wounded in a shooting in the Gresham neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, Chicago police said.

Killed was Jabari Minter, of the 8000 block of South Justine Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.

Minter was standing with several other people in the 8000 block of South Bishop Street about 1 p.m. when a gunman approached and fired at the group, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

Minter was struck several times and was dead at the scene. A 25-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the left leg, Gaines said.

Police suspect the shooting was gang-related, but have made no arrests.
