A bank in the Gold Coast neighborhood was robbed this afternoon.
At 1:36 p.m. a man wearing a black stocking cap handed a teller a threatening note at a Chase Bank branch in the 1200 block of North State Parkway on the Near North Side, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien.
The teller complied and the robber, who did not display a gun, escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, said O'Brien.
No one was hurt and the robber, who stands about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, remains at large as of about 3 p.m.
