The Paramount Theatre has announced the cast for its first self-produced musical: Jim Corti's fall production of "My Fair Lady."
Andrea Prestinario plays the Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle opposite Nathan M. Hosner's upper-crusty Henry Higgins.
A variety of longtime stars of Chicago musicals are also in the cast, including John Reeger (Col. Pickering), Paula Scrofano (Mrs. Pearce), Mary Ernster (Mrs. Higgins) and Andy Lupp (an atypical Alfred P. Doolittle).
The Paramount says it plans a 21-piece orchestra in the pit of the historic, 1,888-seat venue, located in downtown Aurora. "My Fair Lady" begins performances Sept. 14.
