Avril Lavigne and the Backstreet Boys aren’t just touring together. They’re hanging out together as well.

Lavigne opened for the Backstreet Boys Wednesday at FirstMerit Pavilion at Northerly Island and then had dinner with husband Chad Kroeger (lead singer of Nickelback) and Backstreet’s Nick Carter and Howie Dorough Thursday at RPM Italian. Kroeger, Carter and Dorough hung out afterward sans-Lavigne at Paris Club and Bistro’s upstairs club, Studio Paris.

Lavigne dined Wednesday at Mastro’s Steakhouse.

Sting visited the Classical Symphony Orchestra and Protégé Philharmonic offices June 4 in preparation for his musical "The Last Ship," which is now playing at the Bank of America Theatre. He also stopped by the architecture firm JGMA (located in the same building) and posed for photos with staff. Fellow singer Rod Stewart dined June 5 at Spiaggia.

Chance the Rapper hung out Saturday at Drumbar in the Raffaello Hotel. Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons dined Thursday at Packing House and visited Core Power Yoga in the South Loop Friday.

Comedian Eddie Izzard took the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise June 9.
