3 seriously hurt when car hits South Side building

Three women were seriously hurt when a car hit a building in the West Pullman neighborhood this morning, authorities said.

The crash happened about 5:15 a.m. near the intersection of West 119th Street and South Eggleston Avenue.

The women were taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Chicago Fire Department Chief Juan Hernandez said.

Police News Affairs was notified but did not have more detailed information this afternoon.

Video from the scene showed the car crashed through the front door of a corner storefront and ended up inside the building.
