One man was killed and another wounded in shootings within an hour this afternoon on the West and South sides, police said.
Around 3 p.m., a 33-year-old man was found shot in a vehicle in the 3300 block of West 16th Street in the Lawndale neighborhood, according to Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
The man was identified as Steven Noble, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:16 p.m., according to the office.
At about 4 p.m., a 37-year-old man was shot in the 7600 block of South South Shore Drive, police said.
The man was taken in serious-to-critical condition from the South Shore neighborhood to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
