A 26-year-old man has died and two other men were injured after they were shot this afternoon in the North Kenwood neighborhood, police said.
The shooting was reported at 4:57 p.m. on the 4500 block of South Woodlawn Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien.
The man was identified as Donnerick McGhee, 26, of the 200 block of Oglesby Avenue in Calumet City, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 5:56 p.m., according to the spokesman.
He was found in a vehicle, O'Brien said.
In addition to that victim, a second man, in his 20s, was shot in the foot and was in good condition. A third victim, an 18-year-old man was shot in the stomach and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition had stabilized, O'Brien said.
