Two children were injured in a crash downtown on Lake Shore Drive, authorities said.

The rollover accident happened in the 700 block of South Lake Shore Drive at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chicago police and fire officials.

A 2010 Ford Focus struck a curb and then hit a 2011 Jaguar and flipped over, according to police. Neither driver was seriously hurt, but two children inside the Ford were taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, authorities said.

Doctors there determined the injuries weren't life threatening, police said. The childrens' ages weren't available.

The driver of the Ford, Noel Morgan, 32, of the 12600 block of South Saginaw Avenue, was cited with driving too fast for conditions, police said.
