A 21-year-old man died in a car crash on the Far South Side on Wednesday night, authorities said.
The crash happened in the 11100 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue about 10:30 p.m., police said.
Police said the 21-year-old was eastbound on 111th Street on a motorcycle when he ran a red light and clipped a Pontiac Grand Am going through intersection.
A spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office identified him as Jeffrey Jones, of the 16000 block of South St. Louis Avenue in Markham.
Jones lost control of the motorcycle and ended up in a nearby park, dead from his injuries. The other driver was not injured.
