A 24-year-old man has been charged with fondling several young girls in the Chicago Lawn police district on the Southwest Side.

Valentin Lasco, of the 4600 block of South Kedzie Avenue, is charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 13, four counts of aggravated battery in a public place, and one count of attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 13.

In a Bond Court hearing midday today, Cook County Criminal Court Judge Donald Panarese Jr. ordered him held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Police said the incidents took place between Feb. 24 and April 6. Authorities are urging anyone with information about similar incidents to contact the Special Investigations Unit at (312) 492-3845.

Lasco is expected to appear in bond court Tuesday.
