At least four people were wounded in several shootings Saturday, including a man who walked into a police station with a gunshot wound, officials said.
In the first shooting today, a 24-year-old man walked into the Englewood district police station on 63rd Street after someone shot him in the hip, police said.
The shooting occurred just after midnight near the intersection of 61st Street and Ashland Avenue, police said.
The man's leg was grazed and he was treated for the wound at the police station, about two blocks east of Ashland Avenue on 63rd Street, police said.
Then at about 12:47 p.m., a man was seriously injured after also being shot in the Englewood neighborhood, police said.
The shooting happened on the 2000 block of West 68th Place, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan.
The victim was shot in the leg and back and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center, according to Chicago Fire Department and police officials.
At about 5 p.m., a 21-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her leg on the 1600 block of North Spaulding Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side. She was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where her condition had stabilized, according to fire department officials.
At about 7 p.m., a 42-year-old man was shot in the back on the 8400 block of South Maryland Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, fire officials said.
In addition to the shootings, a 27-year-old woman was seriously injured in a a stabbing in what police said was a domestic related incident.
The woman was stabbed in the abdomen at about 8:34 p.m. on the 2700 block of South Kildare Avenue, according to police.
The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital where she was in serious condition. After the stabbing the woman's boyfriend fled the scene. The boyfriendd was being sought in the incident and was not in custody as of Sunday morning, police said.
