A 19-year-old man was shot on the Far South Side early this morning in the Rosemoor neighborhood.
The man was walking on a sidewalk in the 10400 block of South Rhodes Avenue when someone shot him about 12:45 a.m., according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
Greer said the victim told police he "heard shots and felt pain," during the incident.
A family member of the victim took him to Roseland Community Hospital where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. A condition was not known.
A dark colored sport-utility vehicle was seen after the shooting, according to Greer.
