A variety of businesses and organizations support NIE throughout the year. It is through the generous support of our sponsors that NIE is able to provide teachers and students with classroom sets of the newspapers at no cost. The Courant matches all donations and 100% of the dollars are used to provide newspapers to classrooms.
Their support increases a sponsor's visibility and good will in the community on a statewide basis and validates their commitment to education and to providing students with challenging learning experiences.
NIE sponsors are credited in all program materials including:

Thank you Hartford Courant Subscribers!
News in Education thanks the generous Courant subscribers who continue to support education through Vacation Donations and Subscriber Donation programs. These donations help provide newspapers to students in classrooms throughout Connecticut.
When You Go On Vacation, Make a Donation!
Give the gift of learning!
The next time you stop your newspaper, consider Vacation Donation. Subscribers can donate their newspaper cost to area classrooms.
The Hartford Courant will credit the News in Education (NIE) fund with your vacation newspaper cost. Thousands of Connecticut teachers use the newspapers creatively in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
