Chicago zombie lovers are getting a con of their own in March, when the first Walker Stalker Con Chicago shuffles into the area.

Walker Stalker Con Chicago 2014 is set for March 14-16 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road in Rosemont. The fan gathering will feature actors and producers from AMC's "The Walking Dead," panels, signings and other events.

Walker Stalker Con is the braains-child of Eric Nordhoff and James Frazier, fans of "The Walking Dead" who created The Walker Stalkers podcast and web site. The name was inspired by a road trip they made from Nashville to the Atlanta-area to watch the AMC show being filmed.

The duo launched the first Walker Stalker Con Atlanta last fall, attracting 10,500 fans to the three-day event.

They've just announced the Chicago event, but already have secured appearances from stars of "The Walking Dead" and other genre productions. The line-up so far includes "The Walkind Dead" humans and walkers Steven Yeun, Loren Cohan, Emily Kinney, IronE Singleton, Michael Cudlitz, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Sonequa Martin-Green, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Lew Temple, Daniel Thomas May, Madison Lintz, Melissa Hutchinson and Addy Miller. EP and makeup wizard Greg Nicotero and costume designer Eulyn Womble are also set to attend.

This is cool: Kinney, who plays Beth in "TWD" and is from my home state of Nebraska, will perform in concert at 9 p.m. March 14 at the event. Get those tickets here.

Non "TWD" guest include former "Lost" stars Henry Ian Cusick and Nestor Carbonell (now in "Bates Motel"), Mackensie Lintz from "Under the Dome" and Howard Sherman (Bub, "Day of the Dead"). Author Jay Bonansinga and artist Arthur Suydam also are signed up.

Frazier tells me more announcements are coming, so keep an eye out here or the Walker_Stalkers Twitter or at the Walker Stalker Chicago web site, where you can also get tickets. (Yes, click the highlighted words to get to the page.)
