Amy Poehler, Stefon (Bill Hader) and Andy Samberg showed up to say goodbye to Meyers, who will take over as host of "Late Night" when Jimmy Fallon moves to his new job hosting "The Tonight Show." Meyers has been on "SNL" since 2001 and head writer since 2006.
As you can see in the video here, Poehler called Meyers "the of this show for over a decade." Stefon paid tribute to his "husband" by calling Meyers "the Sting of 'SNL'" because it "takes you 12 years to finish."
"This is the job I always wanted," Meyers said after thanking everyone. He and co-anchor Cecily Strong both got choked up, but Stefon was having none of Strong. "You barely know him!" he shouted at her, before hissing.
Samberg sang a little Boyz II Men and they all hugged it out. After they signed off, Fred Armisen popped into frame as former New York Gov. David Paterson.
Below is the first half of Meyers' last "Weekend Update."
