That not-so-suprising news came out of Michael Trevino's roundtable discussion Saturday at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. Trevino, Candice Accola and exec producer Julie Plec sat down with writers before "The Vampire Diaries" Q&A session with fans at C2E2. (Click the link at left under RELATED for photos.)
So Tyler will be back (at some point), but what's he been up to?
"I've thought about it and came to my own conclusions, but it's really up to Kevin and Julie," Trevino said. "There's going to be some kind of change to him, I think. Has he been gone to werewolf camp with all the other werewolves doing hand-to-hand combat? ... I think he has to come back as a bad-ass."
It was Accola's first roundtable, but she handled it perfectly. She told us that when she found out her character, Caroline Forbes, was going to become a vampire, she got advice about how to vamp out from her co-stars, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.
"The best advice I got was to know my vamp face," she said. "[It's] the moment before you strike; the moment before you attack ... It's kind of like making pancakes; the first one's always really awkward and a little wonky, and from then on you kind of get the hang of it."
Above you will find interview videos, created by RedEye's Mike Rich, and the "TVD" sizzle reel. Below I've added some clips from the "TVD" panel discussion (which I moderated).
