'United States of Bacon' chows in Chicago
They say everything's better with bacon, and in the new series "United States of Bacon," Chef Todd Fisher tries to prove it. His first stops are in Chicago and Milwaukee. The Destination America show begins the porkpocalypse with back-to-back episodes beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30.
The chef's Chicago stops include Gino's East, Green Door Tavern and Morrie O'Malley's, where he creates the B-L-Turtle Burger, which includes two hamburger patties, three hot dogs and 10 strips of bacon. That episode airs at 9:30 p.m. In Milwaukee, he devours a chunky peanut buttery bacon cheeseburger, bacon-wrapped meatloaf, bacon apple pie and visits a restaurant with a bacon happy hour.
Check out the videos and photos in the gallery for some mouth-watering, heart-clogging bacon dishes.
