You can't turn the TV on this week without finding a season finale of some kind. But there are a lot of other offerings as well. Here are some TV picks for the week of May 6-12.
Click here for my list of May premieres, finales, movies and specials.

Rihanna 777
7 p.m. Monday, April 6, Fox
Seven gigs over seven days in seven countries—and this Rihanna concert special airs at 7 p.m. Fox should have saved it for Tuesday, May 7.

The Mindy Project
8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, Fox
Evanston native Anders Holm ("Workaholics") guest stars as Mindy's boyfriend, Casey, who sends her on a bender when he decides to move to Haiti for a year. When she goes to a frat party with her pre-med mentee, she runs into her ex, Tom (guest Bill Hader).

Wipeout
7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, ABC
Season 6 adds challenges such as Octopushy and the Barsy Bot 3000, plus co-host Jill Wagner returns.

Community
7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, NBC
The Season 4 finale could be the series finale, so it's fitting the darkest timeline is back. Danny Pudi resurrects Evil Abed as Jeff (Joel McHale) can finally graduate and the rest of the Greendale gang ponders their future without him.

Monumental Mysteries
8 p.m. Thursday, April 9, Travel
The new series is the latest to remind us that Chicago was the site of grisly work of serial killer H.H. Holmes, who preyed on customers in the hotel he built to house visitors at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. Host Don Wildman ties it to the show's "monument" theme by showing the Statue of the Republic, a replica of a statue that towered over the fair.

Saturday Night Live
10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, NBC
Former cast member Kristen Wiig returns to host with musical guest Vampire Weekend.

Honey Do
9 p.m. Saturday, April 11, TLC
Shirtless hunks tackle incomplete home improvement projects. It's not all that safe for the hot guys, but is fun viewing for the wives of the men who failed to finish.

Mammas
4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 12, Sundance
In this wonderfully wacky special that seems tailor-made for furries, Isabella Rossellini acts out one-woman skits dressed as animals to explore the question, "What is maternal instinct?" Happy Mother's Day, indeed.

Great Bear Stakeout
8 p.m. Sunday, April 12, Discovery
Fascinating nature special follows grizzly bears up close in Alaska for a full season of their lives as they wake from hibernation, forage, fight, mate and pack on the pounds during salmon spawning season, then return to the mountains to sleep again.

Family Tree
9:30 p.m. Sunday, April 12, HBO
"Best in Show" and "This Is Spinal Tap" director Christopher Guest does his mockumentary thing on TV in this half-hour comedy that's light on punch lines but heavy on laughs. Chris O'Dowd plays Tom Chadwick, a down-on-his luck Brit who discovers his family tree is ripe with eccentrics--not unlike his immediate family.
