Based on Alexander Roses's book "Washington's Spies," "Turn" presents the birth of The Culper Ring, a group of rebels that helped to turn the tide against the British during the Revolutionary War. The 90-minute premiere of the series, from "Nikita" showrunner Craig Silverstein, airs at 8 p.m. April 6 on AMC.
"Turn" stars Jamie Bell as Abraham Woodhull, a farmer living behind enemy lines in British-occupied Long Island who is reluctant to act against the British forces; Seth Numrich as Ben Talmadge, an officer in Washington's Army who recruits his old friend Woodhull to spy on the Redcoats; Heather Lind as Anna Strong, a former love of Woodhull's who runs an inn taken over by the British, and Daniel Henshall as Caleb, another childhood friend of Woodhull's working with Talmadge.
