Exclusive: Behind the scenes of 'The Walking Dead'
Now that "The Walking Dead" fans have gotten good looks at the Governor's town of Woodbury and the prison where Rick's crew is trying to survive the zombie apocalypse, I thought it might be fun to take you behind the scenes on these awesome locations and sets. I was fortunate enough to get to visit the Georgia set of the AMC series back in August. They already were filming for the second half of Season 3, so I can't really talk about who a handful of bloggers and I saw, but I can talk about what we saw. Using behind-the-scenes photos from AMC, here are a bunch of fun facts about how TWD's production team went about creating the prison and Woodbury. Enjoy. "The Walking Dead" airs new episodes at 8 p.m. CT Sundays on AMC.

Raleigh Studios Atlanta
Most of the prison exteriors were built using the existing footprint at Raleigh Studios Atlanta near Senoia, which has several sound-stage and workshop buildings that were made to look like a prison on the outside.
