'The Vampire Diaries' cleans up at Teen Choice 2011

"The Vampire Diaries" compelled Teen Choice 2011 voters, winning five surf boards during Sunday's ceremonies broadcast by Fox.

The series won choice fantasy/sci-fi TV show, while stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were named choice fantasy/sci-fi actress and actor. Katerina Graham and Michael Trevino were honored with choice scene stealer awards.

Despite the love voters showed for "TVD," Robert Pattinson of the "Twilight" movies was named choice vampire, beating out Somerhalder and co-star Paul Wesley from "TVD," not to mention Alexander Skarsgard's Eric Northman from "True Blood."
