The Game Show Network is looking for teams to compete in the first season of its new show, "The Chase."
Casting directors for the series, which is based on a popular British game show of the same name, are coming to Chicago on May 4. But in order to get a spot at the casting call, hopefuls need to sign up for an audition time at chasecasting.com.
Here's what the network says:
You can run, but you cannot hide, the Beast is always coming after you. In "The Chase," a team of four contestants attempts to amass as much money as possible by answering quick-fire questions in a 60-second round. The money earned will go toward a team bank. Why the urgency? Because the Beast is always lurking, ready to pounce. The Beast--quite simply--is a quiz genius. The job of this intimidating presence is to catch each contestant by answering more questions than his opponents to ensure they are not able to bank their money. It's a role he executes with ruthless efficiency. In the final round, the team collectively plays against the Beast in an epic David vs. Goliath battle for the entire amount that they have banked.
Chicago audition times, all for Saturday, May 4, are 8 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. After you fill out the application you will be told when and where the auditions will be in downtown Chicago. If you have any questions, contact Casting Director RJ Larese at GSNTheChaseCasting@gmail.com.
"The Chase" is produced by ITV Studios America. You can watch an episode of the original ITV show in the video above.
