One look at a new behind-the-scenes video from "Strike Back" and its easy to see why star Philip Winchester says, "I love my job."
In the video "Recon" piece, provided exclusively to RedEye by Cinemax, star Sullivan Stapleton takes viewers through a day on the show's South Africa set where they blow the crap out of a car "in true 'Strike Back' style."
But what's this about the brave members of Section 20 robbing the Bogota Stock Exchange? Have Damien Scott (Stapleton) and Sgt. Michael Stonebridge (Winchester) gone rogue? They don't rob places! They fight terrorism around the world.
A larger plan must be in the works, but we'll have to wait until this summer to discover what it is. Another mystery the exclusive photo above and first video below is who the female fighter is behind Stonebridge (not to mention what actress is playing her). Get ready for some surprises.
As I previously reported, Dougray Scott, Robson Green and former Chicagoan Milauna Jackson will appear in the third Cinemax season of the action series. They join Winchester, Stapleton and cast members Michelle Lukes and Liam Garrigan. is reprising her role as Maj. Rachel Dalton, the MI-6 spy who took over leadership of Section 20 last season.
The upcoming season will see Section 20 pursuing a deadly terrorist network from Colombia to Beirut to Europe, uncovering deadly plots that reach to the West. The production is currently filming in Budapest, Hungary, after filming in and around Johannesburg, South Africa earlier this year.
I've including a second Recon video below in which Winchester explains how to comandeer a boat. Obviously, it involves diving into dirty waters.
"I smell slightly of poo," Winchester says. "But I think that's normal in wild rivers like this."
Check out the very cool early trailer for the new season and learn more about the new cast members at my previous post here. (If you are on an archived page of this story and can't view the videos, please click here.)
Are you excited for the new season of "Strike Back?" If so, please comment so Cinemax sees how much fans love the show.
