"Strike Back" wraps up its second Cinemax season Friday with an action- and revelation-packed finale that will have you rewinding to catch all the details. It'll also make you wish for more episodes in a season that seems to have ended too quickly. Despite the exciting action sequences and amazing stunt work, the quieter moments affected me the most. We've long known Damian Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) has a dark past, and that it involved CIA diva Christy Bryant (Stephanie Vogt). He finally confronts her about their work together and about her involvement with Conrad Knox (Charles Dance), who has horrifying plans for his remaining nuclear bombs. Knox, too, reveals his true motivations in the finale, showing his bitterness about European colonialism in Africa and how it changed his life as a child. Still haunted by lost chances to deal once and for all with his wife's killer, Craig Hanson (Shane Taylor), Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) refocuses on Section 20's latest dangerous mission. The Season 2 finale was directed by Bill Eagles and written by Tony Scott. It debuts at 9 p.m. CT Oct. 12 on Cinemax and repeats throughout the weekend.
