Dougray Scott, Robson Green and former Chicagoan Milauna Jackson will star in the third Cinemax season of "Strike Back."

The British actors recently joined series regulars Philip Winchester, Sullivan Stapleton, Michelle Lukes and Liam Garrigan in South Africa where the action-adventure series began filming the new season about a month ago. The addictive, action-packed drama throws viewers into the world of the fictional Section 20, an elite military black ops-counterterrorism unit within the British government.

Rhona Mitra will reprise her role as Maj. Rachel Dalton, the MI-6 spy who took over leadership of Section 20 last season.

Scott, who played Ian Hainsworth on "Desperate Housewives" and will star in Netflix's original series "Hemlock Grove" beginning in April. His films roles include "My Week with Marilyn," "Hitman" and "Mission Impossible II." He plays rogue operative James Leatherby.

Green starred as werewolf McNair in the British original "Being Human," but may be best known in the U.S. for the TV series "Wire in the Blood" and "Touching Evil." He plays a new member of Section 20.

Also joining the cast is Jackson, who appears as "a key player who crosses paths with the counterterrorism team," according to a Cinemax release. Jackson has appeared (under the name Miluana Jemai) in TV series such as "NCIS" and "Rizzoli & Isles," the web series "Squad 85" and the 2010 feature film "Blood Done Sign My Name." She's also starring as Nora Bolden opposite Michael Rooker, Jackie Earle Haley and Anthony Mackie in the film "Bolden!"

The upcoming season will see Section 20 agents Sgt. Michael Stonebridge (Winchester), Damian Scott (Stapleton), Sgt. Julia Richmond (Lukes) and Sgt. Liam Baxter (Garrigan) pursue a deadly terrorist network from Colombia to Beirut to Europe, uncovering deadly plots that reach to the West.

Returning directors are Michael J. Bassett (who also serves as co-executive producer), Julian Holmes and Paul Wilmshurst; returning writers are Simon Burke, James Dormer, John Simpson and Richard Zajdlic.

"Strike Back" will begin its third season this summer. Check out the teaser below (which has me counting the days until summer). The song is "Bartholomew" by The Silent Comedy.
