Lucasfilm and Cartoon Network have released another action-packed trailer for Season 5 of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars."

The clip, which premiered a week ago at the "Star Wars" Celebration VI in Orlando, shows Darth Maul, his brother Savage Opress, Mandalorian Death Watch leader Pre Vizsla, as well as Asajj Ventress, an undercover R2-D2 and a seriously p.o.'d Darth Sidious.

The series moves to 8:30 a.m. CT Saturdays for Season 5, beginning with the Sept. 29 premiere on Cartoon Network.

Here's a quick rundown of some things I noticed in the latest trailer:

DARTH MAUL
Darth Maul wants to rule the galaxy! Well, at the least he wants to become a powerful player in the conflict between the Separatists, the Republic and the Jedi. He seems to be aligning himself Pre Vizsla and the Mandalorian Death Watch. (Is that the red armor of the  Madalorians he wears at one point?)

Later on in the trailer, Maul duels with darksaber-wielding Vizsla, so I'm not convinced they're the friendliest of allies. Maul also is seen with the green Falleen of the Black Sun, the criminal cartel that, in the trailer released in June, he attacked. So it's not clear how that relationship works either.

One thing is clear, however: This guy can't be trusted.

UNDERCOVER DROIDS
R2-D2 and four other droids are sent on a secret mission to steal an encryption module from a Separatist ship.

ASAJJ VENTRESS
At the end of Season 4, Asajj Ventress teamed up with Obi-Wan Kenobi to fight Darth Maul and his brother. If her appearance in the new trailer is any indication, she's back to her former villainous ways. That's her chasing Ahsoka.

DARK ANAKIN
Is Anakin the jealous type, or is he just moving closer to the Dark Side? The trailer shows him Force choke a man in Padme Amidala's apartment. She doesn't find it romantic.

DARTH SIDIOUS
Previous trailers hinted at the Sith Lord's more hands-on approach this season, but in the new trailer we get even more when he pulls out two lightsabers to battle Darth Maul and Savage Oppress.

"Remember, there can only be two," Sidious says, referring to the Rule of Two that says there should be only one Sith master and an apprentice at any given time. "And you are no longer my apprentice."

These guys do not like each other.

STEELA
I don't recall ever seeing the leader of the Onderon rebels, Steela. Is that correct? Anyway, she's rallying the troops to fight for her planet's independence.

What other reveals have I missed in the trailer? Please leave a comment and let me know. Will you be watching Sept. 29?
