1st look: The Situation gets a comic book

The abs of Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino have been immortalized in comic book form. The "Jersey Shore" personality and Wizard World unveiled the cover of his new comic Wednesday, in which Sitch is a superhero.

Created by Sitch and artist Greg Horn, the Situation comic book is expected on shelves in time for the Aug. 9-12 Wizard World Chicago Comic Con. Wizard World and MPS Entertainment are producing the comic.

"I was confident that an amazing artist like Greg Horn would come up with a great look, but I was still blown away by his painting," Sorrentino said in a press release. "It has me more excited than ever to see what's coming next."

The team working with Horn and Sorrentino on the book includes writer Paul Jenkins ("Wolverine: Origins," "Batman," "Hulk," "Spider-Man"), pencil and inks by Talent Caldwell ("Superman," "X-Men," "G.I. Joe"), and coloring by Paul Mounts ("Avengers," "Ultimate X-Men," "Wolverine," "Thor").

Sorrentino will make his first appearance in support of his new comic at Wizard World Chicago, which already jam-packed with great guests from the worlds of comics, film and TV.

Among the TV guests are "The Walking Dead' stars Norman Reedus and Jon Bernthal, "Spartacus" alums Craig Parker and Katrina Law, "True Blood" actors Sam Trammell and Denis O'Hare, and alums from various "Star Trek" shows such as William Shatner, Avery Brooks, Scott Bakula and Kate Mulgrew.
