R. Kelly and IFC are teaming up to unleash more chapters of his rap opera "Trapped in the Closet" on the world, the network announced Wednesday.
“R. Kelly is an enormously talented artist and his creativity is on full display in 'Trapped in the Closet,'” IFC president Jennifer Caserta said in a press release. “We are fortunate to be his partner in this one-of-a-kind project that has captivated viewers and can’t wait to bring the next chapters of Trapped to IFC.”
The new chapters will continue the epic story of Sylvester, Rufus, Rosie The Nosey Neighbor, Twan, Roxanne and Pimp Lucius sometime in 2014 exclusively on IFC. The network promises they'll be "filled with intense drama, crazy situations and tumultuous relationships."
All 33 previous chapters of "Trapped in the Closet" will air beginning at 4:15 p.m. CST Dec. 7 on IFC, but can be watched any time at IFC's web site.
More from IFC:
In addition to starring in nearly every scene, R. Kelly is also creator, executive producer and co-director of "Trapped in the Closet." Born entirely from his creative vision, characters Sylvester, Rufus, Cathy, Tina, Roxanne, Rosie the Nosy Neighbor, Randolph, Twan, Pimp Lucius, Dr. Perry, Reverend Moseley and kingpin Beeno all return to this epic saga with more secrets, infidelity and unyielding passion to save their relationships.
