Jesse Spencer doesn't have far to go to pick up his latest award. The Chicago International Film Festival Television Awards will honor the "Chicago Fire" star with its 2014 Artistic Achievement Award during an April 10 ceremony at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel.
Australian native Spencer currently plays Lt. Matthew Casey in the Chicago-filmed NBC series, but made his American TV debut as Dr. Robert Chase in the Fox series "House."
"Jesse Spencer is a dynamic and versatile performer with an undeniable ability to seize an audience's attention," festival founder and artistic director Michael Kutza said in a press release. "Performers like Spencer, who can develop a character over the course of many years, evolving and becoming increasingly complex as the series advances, possess a very special gift. We are pleased to present him with this award for his artistic achievements on television."
Other TV honorees this year include "CSI" executive producer Carol Mendelsohn and the production company STORY.
If you're interested in attending the 50th Chicago International Television Awards at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, 221 N. Columbus Dr., the $100 tickets are available at chicagofilmfestival.com.
