From the sound of the show's new teasers, you'd think they're traveling to Sweden. But don't worry, they're just hopping over to FX's recently announced sister channel, FXX, for the comedy's ninth season in September.
In the teaser called "Rorelse (Movement)," Mac (Rob McElhenny), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Charlie (Charlie Day), Frank (Danny Devito) and Dee (Kaitlin Olson) go all Ingmar Bergman with the following lines (in Swedish):
Mac: "There is movement within us all."
Dennis: "A yearning to push outward to a new place."
Charlie: "Where laughter springs from a sunny day."
Frank: "And our cares are wiped clean."
The move makes Dee gag--or maybe she's not feeling all the high-brow, black-and-white starkness around her.
Whatever the case, I'm sure the gang was happy that "The End" is "Slut" in Swedish.
"It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" Season 9 will premiere--in English and in color, I presume--in September on FXX.
