'Helix' preview: Hatake reveals 'Level X,' more secrets

"Helix" fans are getting closer to discovering the truth about what exactly Dr. Hiroshi Hatake (Hiroyuki Sanada) has been up to at Arctic Biosystems.

As you can see in the preview video above, the silver-eyed sneak finally reveals to the CDC team that his scientists created the deadly virus and that he's been hiding the existence of another level in the facility.

"Level X," as the episode is titlted, is where Hatake keeps samples of two strains of the "apocalypse" virus. Unfortunately, the vectors—those people already infected—seem to have discovered the lower level as well.

The bigger danger to the Hatake and the CDC members is the army Hatake believes the Ilaria Corporation is sending to the site after he killed Constance Sutton (Jeri Ryan).

"What's coming next is far worse than Sutton," Hatake warns, "Sutton was just a messenger ... They will not stop until they have the virus."
What else has Hatake been hiding? And can he finally work with the CDC team to save themselves—and the world?

"Level X" premieres at 9 p.m. Feb. 28 on Syfy.
