November 23 is now known as "The Day of the Doctor."
BBC America has announced the title of the "Doctor Who: 50th anniversary special, which will be a super-sized 75 minutes long and air on the network Nov. 23.
The official poster for the special highlights the news that is making most "Who" fans giddy: David Tennant, who played the 10th Doctor, will return for the special along with Billie Piper, who starred as his companion, Rose Tyler. It's the first time the duo has appeared on the show since they left in 2010.
They'll back up the outgoing 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, and Jenna Coleman, who plays his companion, Clara. John Hurt, also shown in the poster, returns as the mysterious other Doctor whom we met at the end of Season 7.
"'The Day of the Doctor' is nearly here," Smith said in a release. "Hope you all enjoy. There's lots more coming your way, as the countdown to the 50th begins now."
