Fox has debuted a short promo for "Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey," its Seth MacFarlane-produced follow-up to Carl Sagan's groundbreaking 1980 series "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage."
The clip, which was shown during the Saturday broadcast of Game 3 of the World Series, takes just a few bits from the longer trailer Fox unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, which I included below.
Neil deGrasse Tyson, the astrophysicist who been criticizing the scientific inaccuracies of the film "Gravity," hosts the science-themed series and is seen in the promos.
"Cosmos" premieres in Spring 2014 on Fox and the National Geographic Channel. You can watch the original "Cosmos" on Netflix, Hulu and other streaming services.
