"Alt for Norge," as it is titled in Norway, is an Emmy-winning hit in that country. It follows 12 Norwegian-Americans who compete in a series of challenges that bring them closer to their Norwegian heritage. The winner receives $50,000 and gets to meet Norwegian relatives he or she did not even know they had.
"When past contestants describe the experience as 'life changing,' 'epic adventure' and 'most meaningful thing I've done in my life,' you know you’re working on something truly spectacular," casting producer Joan O'Connor said in an email release. "Season 4 contestant Liv Bly sums it up: If you are a Norwegian-American you would be CRAZY to pass up this opportunity."
