Chicago's young actors might have another opportunity to further their careers--in reality TV.
Emmy award-winning production company The Wolper Organization is casting actors in their 20s and 30s for a reality TV pilot called "The Nick of Time" that is set to be filmed in Chicago in early 2013. If the show is picked up by a network, it will follow the actors as they try to make it in show business.
The producers are looking for charismatic young actors with great personalities, big dreams and ambitions who are serious about making acting their careers. Interested actors can send their photo and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org through Jan. 7.
Actor- writer-director Nicholas Celozzi II, who has written or produced more than 20 independent films, is the creator and an executive producer of "The Nick of Time." Mark Wolper ("Bates Motel," "Penn & Teller") serves as director and executive producer. Claire Simon Casting is handling the auditions.
Here's what the production company says about the pilot:
"The Nick of Time" will be a documentary style half-hour TV show, following a handful of up-and-coming young actors in their 20s and 30s as they aggressively pursue their dreams of acting. If the show is picked up, we will follow the actors through the struggles, triumphs and frustrations of trying to make it in Hollywood.
In the show, Nicholas Celozzi will teach these young actors how to navigate the business of becoming a successful working actor and gauge if they have what it takes to make it. As an actor, he co-starred in movies and TV shows with Steven Segal, Danny Aiello, Michael Pare, Ron Pearlman, George Peppard, Robert Conrad, Judd Nelson, Alison Eastwood, Dick Van Patten among others, and played as a re-occurring character in "Days of Our Lives."
Actors should be 20-30, all ethnicities.
