Comedy Central's new series "Broad City" is bringing the funny to Chicago in March.
Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer will do 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. shows March 13 at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., as part of the 18-city "Broad City Live" tour.
The gals play under-achieving 20somethings who fall into precarious situations while trying to make a go of it in Brooklyn. Originally a web series, the Amy Poehler-produced comedy airs at 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays on Comedy Central.
The first season's 10 episodes will feature regulars Hannibal Buress and Chris Gethard with appearances from Fred Armisen, Rachel Dratch, Janeane Garofalo and Amy Sedaris.
The "Broad City Live" show promises to be a completely different experience than the series and not your average standup show. "Every live show 'Broad City' does is a unique experience, different from the last," says the Upright Citizens Brigade site. "Expect to see a delicately crafted hour of fun!"
I hear the gals even dance with the audience.
