Fall Out Boy bassist and "Best Ink" host Pete Wentz probably won't be there, but the Oxygen competition series is casting for an upcoming season in Chicago this weekend.
If you're a tattoo artist age 21 or older, casting directors from Bunim/Murray Productions would like to meet you between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Mad River Chicago, 2909 N. Sheffield Ave. Applicants are asked to bring a recent picture of themselves that will not be returned, a photo ID and photos of their artwork, which will be returned.
Here's a rundown of the show, which is currently airing its second season at 9 p.m. Wednesdays on Oxygen: "Capturing the drama and culture of the tattoo scene, "Best Ink" will feature approximately 12 top tattoo artists as they compete for a cash prize and bragging rights. These unique artists will produce bona fide masterpieces on skin- something rarely seen in the competition world. The permanent artwork will be created for--and on--real people in a variety of challenges to showcase the artists' talents. Only one artist will win the ultimate prize of BEST INK."
I you can't make it to Saturday's casting call, email firstname.lastname@example.org and submit your name, phone number, city and a short bio about yourself. Emails must also include several recent photos, as well as photos showcasing your artwork. Submissions without photos will not be accepted. The subject heading of email submission must be: "CHICAGO"
