Guide to August 2012 TV premieres, finales, specials

With NBC taking advantage of its Olympics coverage by airing sneak peeks of two of its fall shows, "Go On" and "Animal Practice," and launching Season 2 of its hit, "Grimm," August appears to be the new September. In other words, the fall TV season is upon us.

"Strike Back,""Boss,""Hell on Wheels" are back. "The uneXplained," "Totally Biased with Kamau Bell" and"Major Crimes" lead the new series debuts. What follows is my continually updated list of August TV premieres, finales and special events. Happy viewing.
