'American Horror Story: Coven' teaser 2 puts us on pins & needles

FX is upping the ick factor in the latest teaser for "American Horror Story: Coven," focusing on the voodoo aspect of the anthology series' witchy new season.

Calling the teaser creepy would be an understatement. In it, a woman is shown with pins sticking through her body like a voodoo doll. At the very end, she lunges toward viewers.

It's the second teaser FX has released this week, following one that showed a group of women levitating in a mansion. Watch that one here.

"American Horror Story: Coven" follows the decades-old feud between surviving Salem witches, led by a Supreme, played by the amazing Jessica Lange, and a group of New Orleans voodoo withces, led by Angela Bassett's character, Marie Laveau—a real-life practioner of voodoo in the 1800s who was called "the voodoo queen of New Orleans."

The two women work to end the feud, but I doubt things will go well, although co-creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy says the new season will have more humor than past seasons of the miniseries. "Coven" launches in October on FX.

Murphy is bringing back many of his "AHS" company from past seasons, including Frances O'Connor, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Denis O'Hare, Alexandra Breckenridge and Jamie Brewer. New to "AHS" are Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts and Patti LuPone.
