"American Horror Story: Coven" premieres at 9 p.m. CT Oct. 9 on FX.

Using the tag lines "This fall, the Coven's wrath will be hard to swallow" and "This fall, the kiss of death is coming," FX on Tuesday unleashed a new teaser and motion poster for "American Horror Story: Coven."

Talk about your deep throats. The new promos expand upon the show's official poster, which shows a snake slithering into and out of the mouths of three young witches.

In the "Slither" teaser, a snake goes into a witch's mouth and at the very end, pops his head out again. The motion poster is a gif version of the poster with the snake and three women.

The 13-part third installment of the horror anthology will premiere at 9 p.m. CT Oct. 9 on FX.

This season's story focuses on a school for witches in New Orleans run by headmistress Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), the daughter of the powerful Supreme witch Fiona (Jessica Lange). When the school comes under siege, Fiona returns to New Orleans to prepare Cordelia and her students, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe), Nan (Jamie Brewer) and Madison (Emma Roberts).

Angela Bassett stars as Marie Laveau, a real-life practioner of voodoo in the 1800s who was called "the voodoo queen of New Orleans," while Kathy Bates plays another historical character, serial killer Marie Delphine LaLaurie.

Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare and Patti LuPone also star.
