Inside Lincoln Park pizzeria Homeslice
Lincoln Park has its fair share of pizza, from the addictive caramelized crust of Pequod's to the floppy, foldable slices at Armitage Pizzeria. Now the neighborhood's pizza scene has gotten even saucier with the addition of recently opened Homeslice ((938 W. Webster Ave. 312-789-4600). Though it's located off Sheffield Avenue on tree-shaded Webster, this funky restaurant and bar with a log cabin-style look is a taste of the Pacific Northwest in more ways than one: Not only did owners Josh Iachelli and Clay Hamilton meet and become friends in Oregon, but the pizza they serve is inspired by a beloved pizzeria there. lmarnett@tribune.com | @redeyeeatdrink

The Knife & Forkner (pictured) piles on pepperoni, blackened chicken, bacon, red onion, mozzarella, provolone and cheddar on top of barbecue sauce, while the Zephy skews toward the vegetarian end with portabello mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese and spinach-ricotta sauce.
