Hopefully your liver has recovered from Chicago Craft Beer Week, because it's time to start planning for one of the top beer events of the fall.
Festiv-Ale, a charity beer festival that benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, has released its line-up of participating breweries and tickets now are on sale for the Sept. 20 event.
The seventh annual event will include pours from Lagunitas, Revolution Brewing, Solemn Oath, Begyle Brewing, opening-soon DryHop Brewers, 5 Rabbit Cerveceria and others, plus a special release beer from Haymarket Pub & Brewery that will debut at Festiv-Ale.
A table also will host beer from a different local nanobrewery each hour, including Spiteful Brewing, Temperance Beer Co., 18th Street Brewery and Slapshot Brewing Company.
VIP ticket holders will have access to extra perks, including a special Solemn Oath beer and a whole pig roast from Frontier.
Other food available to all attendees will be provided by Fountainhead, SmallBar, Howells & Hood and Carmichael's Chicago Steak House, which hosts the festival.
Tickets cost $65 for regular admission and $100 for VIPs and are on sale through Festiv-Ale's website.
