6 French terms to know before eating at Chicago's new bistros

No doubt about it, the dining scene has taken a decidedly French turn this winter. First, Maude's Liquor Bar opened in the West Loop, with its French dive inspirations and late-night menu. Then Gold Coast eatery Bistronomic (pictured) debuted just days after the big blizzard with former Cafe des Architectes chef Martial Noguier in the kitchen. And then Jerrod and RJ Melman opened Paris Club, the Frenchie neighbor to Hub 51 in River North. For those who didn't take French in high school, here's a quick primer to help you keep your cool in front of your date.
