Hungry for a slice of something new? Brooklyn-style pizzeria Flour & Stone (333 E. Ohio St.) is due to open in Streeterville in late January, with plenty of eat-in space as well as delivery kicking in a month later. In Lincoln Park, Homeslice (938 W. Webster Ave.) is due to open in early February and will specialize in hand-tossed pies that defy categorization. "It's definitely not Chicago-style," co-owner Josh Iachelli said. "It has a thinner base and a fluffy outer crust." If all that sounds tasty, wait until you hear what the owners of Stout Barrel House & Galley have brewing in the West Loop for a June debut: A yet-unnamed pizzeria and brewery in a former mechanic's shop with a retractable roof-covered patio and a wood-fired oven for baking Neapolitan-style pies. See some of Chicago's favorite pizzas here. |
