Want to see dead people? Apparently the Rialto Square Theatre is one of your best bets. The 86-year-old venue in Joliet offers ghost tours led by the All Seeing Paranormal Group and will be featured on Syfy’s “Ghost Hunters” Wednesday.

“The most common stories are of a little boy and of a lady in a white dress,” said Rialto spokeswoman Annette Parker by email. “Other people have spoken of a man from the prohibition days.

“There have been numerous stories of staff experiences such as lights being turned on after someone had just turned them off, theatre seats being flipped in a down position after the cleaning crew just went through and flipped them all up, doors being open and closed on their own, the feeling of someone touching or tugging at your clothes...”

The show taped the episode “Curtain Call” at the Rialto in late July for around five days. The investigators were on hand for two of those days.

Speaking of ghosts, Travel Channel’s “Halloween Craziest” will tape Thursday at Statesville Haunted Prison in Crest Hill. The episode will air in October 2013.
