'The Dictator' sneak preview tonight at AMC River East

Wadiyan dictator General Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) has more patience than you'd expect--he won't launch a nuclear weapon until it has a pointy top--but that doesn't mean you have to be patient to see "The Dictator."

Head to AMC River East tonight for one of a few sneak previews offered for the comedy, which has several hilarious moments in a film I ultimately found pretty juvenile and disappointing. Anyway, you can judge for yourself at the 9 p.m. show (no, it's not free), where a press release indicates that the General's Virgin Guards will be there to greet ticket buyers with free small popcorn and pop. A limited supply of T-shirts, posters and photos will be distributed as well.

To sweeten the deal, a teaser for "Anchorman 2" will appear before "The Dictator," despite the fact that the "Anchorman" script is reportedly nowhere near completed.
